Taking on the Aquatrine challenge

Aquatrine Challenge

Colleagues, friends and families of the Aquatrine Supplier Association (which consists of representatives from Kelda Water Services, C2C Services, Veolia Water Nevis and the Defence Infrastructure Organisation) walked, cycled and even space-hopped to complete a distance of 558 miles! This vast journey linked the UK's largest Naval and Air Force bases, HMNB Faslane in Clyde and RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire to the UK's largest Army Base, Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire.  Participants signed up to complete 10-mile sections of the route by any non-motorised means.

Around 80 people (and three dogs) over five consecutive weekends covered sections of the route up and down the UK to raise more than £2,000 in donations for the two charities: Scotty's Little Soldiers; a charity that supports the children of Service personnel who have lost their lives serving in the Armed Forces and WaterAid; an international NGO charity providing water and sanitation to some of the world's poorest communities.
